Reference Web Poster FAQ
ÅäÇÈ: Configuration
¹öÀü: 1.0, 1.1
¹®Á¦Á¡: After conducting a search I get the following: "ERROR - reference probably
deleted."
ÇØ°áÃ¥: This error is
usually a direct indication of an indexing problem within the database or library. There
are a few ways this can be solved. ProCite and Reference Manager users should unload the
database from Reference Web Poster and then rename the index file (.pdx or .rmx) to .old
and then go into ProCite or Reference Manager and perform a Rebuild Database. This will
reconstruct a new index file from the database file and should be free of errors.
EndNote users also need to first unload the library from Reference Web Poster and
Macintosh users can download a utility from our website called "Savior" that
will correct EndNote library problems in most cases. In cases where this does not work
then users should proceed to follow the steps below for Windows users.
EndNote Windows will need to take all of the references in the problematic library and
dump them into a new, clean library. Note: this will in most cases renumber all of the
references in the Library. The libraries can then be reposted to Reference Web Poster.
