¹®Á¦Á¡: I've been trying to install RWP with IIS 4 and have been getting an Error 270 (hex value)?
What does that mean?
ÇØ°áÃ¥: This usually occurs
when Reference Web Poster has either not been installed correctly or has been reconfigured
after the installation. There are two ways to run RWP in IIS. The default is as a Virtual
Directory which will show as a folder with a globe. This runs in process with IIS and the
properties screen should look like the following:
There are certain times when it will
be necessary to isolate RWP into it's own memory space. This means that RWP will need to
be run as a Virtual Application and needs a slight reconfiguration in order to make this
happen. First the virtual directory in converted into a application by clicking on the
CREATE button. The most important part to this process though is the fact the name is
left blank. If a name is inserted IIS will not be able to find the page when it is
called from a web browser. The web administrator is then free to click on the RUN IN
SEPERATE MEMORY SPACE box and this will remove problems that RWP may be having with other
virtual applications such as Microsoft Front Page Extensions. When complete the properties
will look like the following screen shot:
