Updates to Reference
Manager 9
- A problem saving manually entered records, while running Reference Manager in Microsoft Windows
2000 has been resolved.
- A problem with erroneous a/b appending have been resolved. Please Note: a/b appending will not
append if the In-Text Citation or bibliography does not contain a date field.
- Duplicate Check was fixed when setting the Title field to 100%.
- Field and Type Editor no longer freezes when you change the order of fields in the Generic reference
type.
- On Microsoft Windows 2000, program no longer crashes when entering a Boolean connector in the Retrieval
screen.
- Refresh issues have been resolved when manually entering multiple keywords.
- A crash was fixed when using Edit/Copy and then Edit Copy Special.
- A refresh problem when using the output style display has been resolved.
- Fixed a problem when printing identical start and end page numbers.
- A problem using CWYW with non-U.S. English versions of Microsoft Word has been fixed.
- Fixed crashing when tabbing on the connector.
- Instructions Editing issues where text was changing to Greek in Microsoft Windows 2000 are fixed.
- Fixed problem in Cite-While-You-Write that was not prompting for reference selection if multiple
references matched the specified identifying text.
- Import filters used for Z39.50 have been “cleaned up?and BIDS (UK) import is now functional.
- Full journal names from Z39.50 searches are now imported into the correct Term Manager slot.
- Abbreviated words in journal names from Z39.50 searches are now correctly imported with periods.
- Fixed the Test Host feature.
- Fixed an author name search truncation problem in PubMed.
- Several issues relating to the installation of the Reference Manager toolbar in Microsoft Word
2000 have been fixed.
- Made modifications to the PubMed field list to make it cleaner and more comprehensive.
- Fixed bug that was incorrectly adding references to reference indexes.
- Canceling an Internet Search, then immediately performing another search, may result in “leftover?records
from the previous search being downloaded.
- Pubmed searches that return a large number of records is no longer crashing the program.
- The Reprint date now displays both zeros if the year is 2000.
- Editing a Retrieval Strategy has been resolved.
- Deleting references from a Reference Index has been resolved.
- Retrieval problems using a Reference Index that were created with several other databases or tabs
has been resolved.
- Output Style Wizard issues have been resolved.
- A crash using the New Database, Advanced options has been resolved.
- Reference Manager not disconnecting from a Z39.50 server correctly has been resolved.
- A reported crash when importing into an empty database while duplicate checking is on has been
fixed.
- The RIS.cap file now imports ANSI characters.
- Exporting references from Reference Update now accepts On Request.
