ProCite for the Macintosh
(Also a direct upgrade for Reference Manager
Macintosh owners)
Build Bibliographies Different!
ProCite version 4 offers breakthrough features and functionality for any Macintosh bibliographic software
user. Enjoy one-step bibliographies and powerful Web features. Use the newly integrated BiblioLink function to import
records from hundreds of online, CD-ROM and Web-based services.
Whether you have used ProCite or Reference Manager in the past, your database automatically converts
to this new Macintosh version. Sharing your database with colleagues using Windows versions of ProCite or Reference
Manager is a breeze. You can open databases in read-only mode or specify read/write access.
The following screen shots provide you with a glimpse of ProCite and its exciting new features and
familiar functionality.
A first glance at the Open Database screen shows you the simple, yet interactive
feel to the new Macintosh product.
- Customize the display to include up to six columns of information. Here, the "Web/URL"
column is added to easily locate those records with links to the Web. In fact, records imported from PubMed
use the URL location field to create a link back to the PubMed record.
- Click sort on any one of the displayed column headings for an instantaneous search. The first
click creates an ascending sort, the second click creates a descending sort.
- Use the optional Preview Pane to display a highlighted record from the reference list in a formatted
Output Style. All displays are resizable and you can even select your preferred font and size.

your ProCite database.
- You can even import comma- and tab-delimited files.
