How quickly will I receive my order? Most orders received by 2pm Central US time will be shipped the same day. Our office is located just outside of Chicago, so ground delivery for most domestic shipments will take 4 days or less. International delivery times will depend on the shipping method:
- US Airmail: 1-2 weeks*
- US Express Mail: 3-7 days*
- UPS or other express courier: 2-3 days
*Note that the US Postal Service does not guarantee delivery times for airmail and Express Mail. The delivery times listed here are averages, and cannot be guaranteed as they are subject to delay in customs or by local delivery agencies.
Do the software prices include manuals/user's guides? No. All printed books and manuals are sold separately. The LISREL 8.7 for Windows CD includes the book Interactive LISREL: User's Guide in .PDF format. Similarly, the IRT program CDs (BILOG-MG, MULTILOG, PARSCALE and TESTFACT) include the IRT from SSI manual (without Appendix A) in .PDF format.
Do you charge for shipping & handling? Yes. Unless you are receiving only paperwork, or we are shipping collect on your UPS, FedEx, or DHL account number, there will be a fee for shipping & handling. See the shipping table to determine how much it will be. Note that in the s/h table, the first number indicates the fee for the first pound and the number in parentheses indicates the fee for each additional pound. Weights for each item are listed on the order form.
Do you add any taxes to the cost? Generally, no. The sole exception to this is Illinois residents who are not tax exempt; they must pay 8.75% Illinois tax. Note that we also do not cover VAT, customs, or import fees when shipping to other countries. We have no control over these taxes and fees, and they are the sole responsibility of the customer. When ordering from outside the USA, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the shipment. For more information, you should contact your local customs agency.
Do you offer academic pricing? For most products, we do not. The vast majority of our customers are academic institutions or government agencies, so we do not generally distinguish between academic and non-academic customers. Our pricing is competitive when compared to similar products. For users of IRT software (BILOG-MG, MULTILOG, PARSCALE and TESTFACT), we do offer three types of licenses: academic-use, commercial use, and production use; the type of license you need is based on how you will use the product, not on the type of institution making the purchase. See academic-use licenses for details on the differences. Note that academic institutions may still need a commercial or production license.
Do you offer site licenses or network pricing? We do offer "Additional User Licenses" for our Windows products. To purchase, for example, 20 licenses for LISREL, you would purchase the LISREL single-user license at regular price and add 19 Additional User Licenses. You would then receive a single installation CD with permission to install it for use by a total of 20 concurrent users. Please note:
- Additional User Licenses apply only to the program's current major version. In the previous example, the licenses will be listed as "LISREL 8 Additional User Licenses" and will apply to your LISREL 8.X software. However, additional licenses cannot be upgraded. If you upgrade your base software to LISREL 9, you will also need to purchase 19 LISREL 9 Additional User Licenses if you want to have 20 users of that version.
- You may add additional users at any time.
- Our programs are not currently designed to take advantage of server-client processing. We recommend that the programs be installed on each computer rather than just on a server or main workstation.

Is your software available for Linux, Macintosh, or other platforms?We do offer HLM and LISREL for platforms other than Windows. HLM is available for Linux and Unix operating systems, and LISREL is available for Linux, Unix, and Macintosh. See the non-windows platforms page or contact sales@ssicentral.com for more information.
How do I get the latest version?If you're purchasing new software directly from SSI, you will always get the latest version. If you have an older version, you may be able to use patch files (for LISREL or HLM) to update your software. Otherwise you will need to purchase an upgrade.
Is your software compatible with Windows XP? Yes, all of our Windows products will run on any Windows 98 system or higher, including Windows 98, 98Plus, 2000, NT, Me and XP.
